Custom tools for manufacturing

Fewer steps.
Better flow.
More done.

When measuring, aligning and holding parts takes time every day, the right tool can make a difference.

Partbeam is developing a path from your working process to a custom assembly aid. With AI-assisted design and testing on the actual part.

01 / APPLICATIONS

Small tools.
A difference in the process.

Three common tasks we can explore together. Which one looks familiar?

In the right place. Again.

A part is realigned before every operation. A custom fixture can establish its position.

THE CURRENT TASK

Measure and adjust every time.

THE POSSIBLE APPROACH

Place the part against its stops and keep working.

Illustrative applications. Fit and usefulness are checked for each specific task.

WHAT A FEW SECONDS CAN ADD UP TO

Repeated often.
Worth adding up.

Use the numbers from your own process. The actual effect is measured later at the workstation.

seconds
4,8hours / month

Illustrative calculation using 4.33 weeks per month. Freed capacity does not automatically become a cash saving.

02 / FROM PROBLEM TO PROTOTYPE

Understand first.
Then make it fit.

01

Start at the workstation.

We look at the actual task, its frequency and the tools already in use. A simple standard solution comes first when it already solves the problem.

02

Agree the design.

Measurements, requirements and a sketch become a CAD design. We establish the critical reference points and constraints together.

03

Make a prototype.

Laser-cut sheet metal, bent parts or printed inserts: the task determines the material and manufacturing process.

04

Test it in the real process.

Does the tool fit? Is the task easier? We compare the process and revise the design where needed.

03 / OUR DEVELOPMENT APPROACH

Design intelligently.
Check carefully.

We are building a workflow in which Claude structures requirements and assists with editable CAD designs. Geometric checks, experienced human review and testing on the actual part are part of the process.

01

Understand requirements

02

Adapt the CAD design

03

Check and test

The software is in development. Design and manufacturing are reviewed for each application.

04 / FIRST PILOT PROJECTS

Show us the step
that takes too much time.

Partbeam is taking shape. We are looking for workshops and small manufacturers to help us understand a specific task and test a first prototype.

A photo, sketch or short description is enough to start a conversation. We agree scope, feasibility and cost before proceeding.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few questions first.

Do I need an existing CAD file?

No. A description with a photo or sketch is enough for the first conversation. Critical measurements and requirements will then need to be captured reliably for the design.

Which tasks are a good starting point?

Repeated positioning, marking and simple manual assembly are our starting point. We are looking for tasks where a small, custom tool can make a measurable difference.

How much does a custom tool cost?

It depends on the design, material, manufacturing and necessary trials. We narrow down the scope after the initial conversation and provide a quote before paid work begins.

What happens to my drawings?

The initial enquiry uses your own email application. Please start with a short description. We agree how technical files may be stored, shared or processed with AI before you provide them.

Is Partbeam already an established service?

We are in the development stage and seeking our first pilot projects. The applications and product image illustrate our approach; they are not completed customer projects.

Which step takes too much time?

Outline the task. We will prepare a draft in your email application. You decide when to send it.
